Talking about all things lunar that move us, change us and link us.
“I am tired, beloved, of chafing my heart against the want of you; of squeezing it into little ink drops, and posting it.
And I scald alone, here, under the fire of the great moon.” - Amy Lowell
Those familiar with astrology think of Venus and maybe Mars when it comes to love. It’s true, Venus is believed to rule relationships and Mars, sexuality. Yet it maybe argued that the Moon’s role in love is even more significant for the Moon represents what it’s like to feel love -- to feel taken care of, nurtured and safe. And although it’s important to like who we love, to feel love runs deeper than personality -- it runs to our very core.
The universal truth is that since we are individuals, the way we choose to express and receive love is as unique as our fingerprints -- and our Moon sign. Notably, in The Five Love Languages, Gary Chapman cites five basic ways we understand expressions of love: words of affirmation, touch, acts of service, quality time and receiving gifts. So, in a family of four, there may be four different ways each person needs to hear or have demonstrated to them that they are loved. Similarly, your birth sign and aspects of your Moon will indicate the ways you prefer to have love expressed to you. Whether you warm to the playful teasing of Aries or Gemini moons or a Cancer moon’s sensitivity and kindness, it is the Moon that knows what is in your heart.

A LITTLE LUNAR KNOWLEDGE:
Contrary to what we see, the moon is not round. In fact, it’s shaped like an egg.
When we gaze up at the mystifying lunar sphere what we really see is one of its small ends pointing directly toward us.
